Key West 🌞🌞 My most favorite place for vacation in the
United States. 💕💕
It is a small island city in Florida and located in the most Southern part of the United States. It is not too far from Miami city, about 3 hours drive. It is very worth to visit and the ocean view is beautiful on the way to Key West from Miami. 🌊🌊It is around 90 miles away from Cuba only. There are lots of Cuba souvenirs to buy like cigars.
We had breakfast in Miami in the morning around 8 am and head to Key West right after. We took US-1 South all the way to the end and reach Key West island. It literally a very long bridge connects each small islands, throughout the Florida Keys. It was very enjoyable to drive and 3 hours fly fast.
Bahia Honda State Park
On the way to Key West Island, we found
Bahia Honda State Park that could stop by. It was about 45 mins away from Key West island and located in the city of Big Pine Key. It was a MUST GO state park! It was costing $10 for a car only. The beach was very clear, clean and beautiful 💕😍🌊 Although it was kind of small, the beach and view were beautiful enough. You could also see Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail from that park. It was a historic bridge that no longer uses for car driving on. People ride a bike or running over there.

Hotel - Ocean Key Resort & Spa

After we spent a morning at Bahia Honda State Park, we started driving to Key West island and checked in to our hotel. The hotel was also a highlight to us!
Ocean Key Resort & Spa! 🤗🤗 They offered luxury rooms and located right next to Mallory Square, an attraction you must go. The location is perfect! Since the island is small, we just need to park our car at the hotel and walk to any attractions. 🏩🏩

When we were looking the hotels, the price was around $200 - $350 per nights in Key West. We picked Ocean Key Resort & Spa, 4 stars hotel with the really good reviews. It was like $250 per night, which was the cheapest room. So we only stayed one night in Key West, the price was really high compared to Miami. The hotel room was big with private balcony. Although we picked a room without ocean view, we still had a half ocean view. We could overlook the harbor and Sunset Pier right. We were so surprised when we got to the room 😆😜😂

| Inside our hotel room, an open bathroom and a small living room area, very confortable. |
Duval Street
After we dropped off our luggage and parked the car at the hotel, we went to take a walk around the city and found something for lunch 😁🤤 There were lots of visitors. The street was full of store, restaurants and bars. The atmosphere was good and the vacation mode turned on immediately 😎😍
 |
| We just randomly picked a restaurant for our lunch 🤤 |
Here are the pictures you could see the streets actually were very busy.
Sunset - Mallory Square
The sunset was very famous in Key West. The most popular spot was Mallory Square, which was right next to our hotel. We were exploring the city and wait until the sunset coming. You could check it in Google for the sunset time. Around an hour before the sunset, lots of people gathered at the square already. There were some street performances. So it would not be boring when waiting for sunset 😗🤗💁

Besides you could see the sunset from the island, there were some cruises you could join. They have packages including other water activities as well.
Southernmost Point of the United States
The next day, we went to the Southernmost Point of the United States. We parked our car at the hotel again and just walked over there. It would take about 30 mins walk. The Southernmost Point was a popular place to visit 🤔 if you want to take pictures with it. You would wait for a while.
 |
| We don't want to wait..... so I just sat next to it and took picture 😎 |
We were exploring the island and found lunch to eat. We went to Southernmost Beach Cafe. It was a very relaxing restaurant. We could enjoy the ocean view when eating our lunch.

Other places we stopped by where the sign of Begin of US-1 North and Ernest Hemingway Home. We did not go inside Ernest Hemingway Home since the admission was $13. We just took few pictures of the entrance. Around 3 pm, we left and drove back to Miami city. We would not want to drive in the dark that kind of dangerous.
