Great Smoky Mountains’ range is between Tennessee and North Carolina runs northeast to southwest through the centerline of the park. On its route from Maine to Georgia, the Appalachian Trail also passes through the center of the park. It is a very popular place to visit with many vacation rental place, hotels and entertainments.
We started driving from Mammoth Cave for 4-5 hours and arrived at around 3pm, which kind of late already. So we just dropped off our stuff at the hotel, and went to explore the city of Pigeon Forge and Sevierville for the first day.
大煙山位於美國東南部田納西州和北卡羅來納州之間。阿巴拉契亞山脈也從緬因州到喬治亞州，穿越到大煙山國家公園的中心。 是一個非常受旅客歡迎的地方，附近有許多度假屋，酒店和消遣娛樂場地。不會讓人花上很多錢，消費稅亦很低。
我們從猛獁洞開大概4-5個小時，下午3點左右才到達Sevierville，已經有點晚了， 所以我們只把東西放下，當天就去Pigeon Forge和Sevierville走走。

Tanger Outlets - Sevierville:
We went shopping at Tanger Outlets for looking for some clothes to change. It had most of the stores you need, like Nike, Adidas, etc. and some stores that you cannot usually find in the other outlets too.我們第一個地方就去Tanger Outlets XD…... 因為衣服不夠穿，還有想找一下有沒有當地特別版的衣服和手信。那邊大部分大品牌的店都有，例如Nike, Adidas等等，還有很多在其他outlets找不到比較小的店都有。
Pigeon Forge:
We had dinner in Bennett's Pit Bar-B-Que located at Pigeon Forge. Their food tasted very great with big portion, specially stuffed mushroom and BBQ ribs. My friend tried a beer called Yee-Haw, which tasted really special and great.
After dinner, we explored the Parkway Street. It was full of local stores and selling souvenirs. There were Arcade, roller coaster, Go Kart, etc. on that street as well. It was so much fun to spend time over there.我們去了Bennett's Pit Bar-B-Que吃晚餐，他有2家分店，一間在Pigeon Forge，另外一間在Gatlinburg。 他們食物份量很大很好吃，特別是蘑菇和燒烤肋骨。我們4個人，叫3個主菜，1個starter就夠。 我的朋友嘗試了一個名叫Yee-Haw的啤酒，味道真的很特別，很棒。
晚飯後，我們在Parkway Street逛街，整條街都是商店售賣紀念品和遊樂設施，例如街機，過山車，Go Kart等。那裡是不錯的消閒地方。

Rafting 泛舟:
We went rafting at Smoky Mountain Rafting. It was a thunderstorm the night before, so the river condition was very good for rafting. We scheduled at Smokey Mountain Outdoor Unlimited before we got there. They would recommend us to wear water shoes and swim suites. It was the first time rafting for me. But no worries, there were 2 trainers with us. We just needed to follow their simple instructions, then they did everything for us, like control the directions... It was a very good experience. The company was very organized and professional. People are very nice and fun to talk! The trainers’' instruction were very clear and easy to follow. We were so relax and enjoyed the beauty of view around!我們到大煙山其中一個目的就是泛舟~! 因為前天晚上雷雨，河流很急速，非常適合泛舟。 我們之前就訂了Smokey Mountain Outdoor Unlimited，他們會建議我們穿游泳鞋和泳衣。 這是我第一次泛舟， 但不用擔心，他們會安排2個trainers 陪同。幫助我們控制船的方向和速度，然後只需要跟隨他們簡單的指揮，便順利完成。
Hiking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park:
After rafting, we went to Sugarlands Visitor Center located at Gatlinburg. We started our hiking from there. The mountains were very huge with lots of trails. We had to drive to each trail or spot. The most popular spot would be Clingmans Done. It was the highest point in Tennessee and an observation tower provided spectacular 360° views. But to be honest, there was full of visitors and hardly to take a real nice photo…..It was fun to drive on the mountains. The road contained lots of curves with beautiful view. You would see how smoky the Smoky Mountains is.
接著，我們去了位於加Gatlinburg的Sugarlands遊客中心。 那邊有賣手信，地圖(大概$1)，詢問處等等。 大煙山面積非常巨大，有許多trails， 我們不得不開車到每個trail或地點。 最受歡迎的地點應該是Clingmans Done，是田納西州的最高點。那裡的觀景塔提供了360度的景觀。 但老實說，因為遊客太多，幾乎沒有一個較佳位置讓我拍照或安靜地欣賞景色…….
另外，在這條彎彎曲曲的山路開車，加上美麗的景色，感覺很舒服很放鬆。 再看看煙霧瀰漫的山景，是很值得去的地方。

Gatlinburg
After hiking, we took a walk and had dinner in Gatlinburg. It was a beautiful town and full of stores and restaurants, like Pigeon Forge, but more centralize and like a small downtown. Also, there were lots of stores had wine and beer tasting and selling.We end up had dinner at Cherokee Grill & Steakhouse. Their steaks tested really well with fair price. And you would like to get there earlier because some foods would sold out if too late.
Hiking之後，我們就去了山下的Gatlinburg到處看看和吃晚餐。它是一個很美麗的小鎮，滿街都是商店和餐館，有點像Pigeon Forge但更集中更美，像一個小市中心。 此外，還有很多賣葡萄酒和啤酒的商店和試喝。
我們最終選擇在Cherokee Grill & Steakhouse吃晚飯。 他們的牛排好好吃，價錢合理。 可是最好早點到，因為一些食物太晚的話就會賣完。
