Mammoth Cave National Park 猛獁洞國家公園 (旅行, 景點, 美食)

Mammoth Cave is the longest cave system known in the world and many parts are not even discover yet. There are many activities to do in the national park, like join the Cave tour, hiking, horseback riding, bicycling…… However, we arrived at night on the first day and only spent one day for the Cave. So we just joined one Cave tour, Domes and Dripstones Tour, which is really worth and fun to join. If you could have more time to spend there, Wild Tour or Grand Avenue Tour would be good choices as well. And it requires more energy to finish the tour.

Since it was a long weekend, all the tours are very full if you book it online too late. But they will save some spots for walk-in. You could still try to get to the visitor center early and book the tours. It only cost $15 in average for each tour.

猛獁洞位於美國肯塔基州，是世界上最長的洞穴，並認定為世界遺產，還有許多部分未被發現。 在猛獁洞國家公園裡有許多活動，例如參加他們的洞穴tour，去附近trails走走，騎馬，騎自行車......可是我們在第一天晚上才到達，只有一天時間，只參加了Domes and Dripstones Tour，覺得很有趣和值得進去洞穴看看。如果你時間夠，Wild Tour跟Grand Avenue Tour是不錯的選擇，也需要很多的體力。

由於我們去的時間是長周末，網上預訂tour要早一點，不然很快就滿。 但他們會把一些位子留下給當天到來報名的人。所以還是可以早點到遊客中心訂他們的tour，平均需要$15。

We had lunch at the restaurant next to Visitor Center. The prices are not expensive and a good place to stay if you are waiting for the tour.

Domes and Dripstones Tour:

They would have a shuttle bus to take us to the Cave entrance from the Visitor Center. This tour is not as easy as other tours, like Historic Tour. It has like 500 stairs, walk between the rocks and in a kind of small and narrow space. It took 2 hours for the whole tour. They would be very on time for catching up the shuttle bus schedule.

Mammoth Cave was really worth to visit. There were more interesting things to do and tour. I wish I could stay there for longer time. However, I had to leave in order to catch up my trip. Please check Smoky Mountains for my next destination! 😃
